Growing up, I always loved to listen to music and sing. It was an everyday part of life for me. I listened to so many styles of music and especially loved disco and rock-n-roll but I also had a little country music in me too. My four sisters and I shared a room and so we would stay up late many nights and take turns singing songs on the radio. I realized that I loved music and wanted to sing, I just didn't know what to sing. 

My dad was a big influence in my life with music. He would get out the record player and sing to us or we would all sing together. To this day, we have our little tradition of singing when we get together on the karaoke. Lots of fun! 

It wasn’t until I was in my early twenties that I was saved. What an awesome experience that was! Today, I am blessed to be able to sing for the Lord. My life will never be the same since that day when I confessed Him and believed in my heart. Now I know why I was given a voice to sing praises to Him.
